Our Plug Plants

Our plants are nurtured by our nursries and carefully packed into sturdy packaging by our expert packing team to arrive in the best possible condition for potting on or planting. See below for our guide to our plant sizes. 

Plugs Plants - Pack of 15, Trays of 20, 40, 230 & 350

The most economical way to purchase your plants. Securely rooted, strong plants in mini-plugs of compost. Will need to be transplanted and grown on a windowsill, or in a greenhouse or conservatory, before planting out ready to flower. Tender varieties will need protecting from frost.  Compost volume around 2.6cm-3cm deep x 1.8cm-2cm square. Foliage height 1.5cm-5cm (depending on variety).

Large Plug Plants - Packs of 3 & 5, Trays of 28, 84, 104

Pot Ready, Large, Healthy plants, individually rooted in large plugs of compost. Ideal for planting into baskets, containers or small areas in the garden. Grow on in 10cm pots prior to planting in the garden. Tender varieties will need protecting from frost. Composst volume around 4cm-5cm deep x 3cm-4cm square. Foliage height around 5cm-12cm (depending on variety). 

Garden Ready 6cm Peat Pots - Packs of 3 & 5

6cm garden ready plants that are in biodegradable pots where no extra potting on is needed. Plant straight into hanging baskets or pots. Compost volume is around 6cm deep x 6cm square (at widest part). The foliage height will vary upon variety. 

7cm Garden Ready - Packs of 3

These are garden ready so you can just plant and go, no extra growing time needed, just regular pruning and maintenance to get the best out of your plants, the size is based on the pot and compost volume, foliage will vary from plant type, picture is for illustration purposes only. Compost volume around 7cm deep x 7cm square (at widest part). 

9cm Garden Ready Pot- Pack of 1

These are garden ready so you can just plant and go, no extra growing time needed, just regular pruning and maintenance to get the best out of your plants, the size is based on the pot and compost volume, foliage will vary from plant type, picture is for illustration purposes only.  Compost volume around 9cm deep x 9cm square (at widest part).
